Apple & Maple butter

Ingredients

  • 8 McIntosh apples peeled, seeded and diced
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • ½ cup cold butter, cut into cubes

Directions

  1. In a skillet, melt 2 tbsp. butter. Brown apples over medium-low heat around15 minutes or until soft.

  2. Add the maple syrup and reduce by half, around 5 minutes

  3. In a blender, make a smoothly purée while gradually incorporating the butter

  4. Keeps in the fridge for 1 week. Tolerates freezing.
