2 cups (500 mL) Graves Apple Juice
1 lb (500 g) Cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 lb (250 g) Swiss cheese, shredded
1/4 cup (60 mL) cornstarch
1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt
1/4 tsp (1 mL) pepper
4 cups (2 L) cubed sourdough bread
4 soft pretzels, cut into pieces
2 apples, sliced
2 cups (500 mL) red or green grapes
In saucepan set over medium-high heat, bring apple juice to boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer for about 20 minutes or until reduced to 1 cup (250 mL).
In large bowl, combine Cheddar cheese, Swiss cheese and cornstarch; stir into reduced apple juice. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 6 to 8 minutes or until cheese is melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
Transfer to fondue pot or crock pot to keep warm. Serve with bread cubes, pretzels, apple slices and grapes for dipping.
Tip: Also delicious with smoked sausage, boiled baby potatoes or dark cherries for dipping
