Vista Bella

How well do you know the Vista Bella?

Its characteristics

The Vista Bella has a bright greenish-yellow skin that turns to red when exposed to the sun. Under all that colour is a clear, crisp and very juicy flesh (perfect for making juice!) that has notes of raspberry. Its drawback? It can be fickle in terms of conservation; you can keep it in the fridge for a few days, but it is best consumed freshly picked.

Small apple, big story

Despite its exotic name, the Vista Bella draws its origins close to home, in New Jersey. However, the apple tree has made its way to the city of Bella Vista in Guatemala, where these apples are now grown. This variety was developed in 1950, but was not introduced to orchards until 1974.
